Want an easy and fun foray into stranded knitting? The Dashes and Dots cowl is for you! Choose two contrasting colors, your favorite circular needle, and get to knitting!

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: Single loop (double loop) circumference: 25 (52)”/64 (132) cm. Both sizes: 7.5″/19 cm wide. Measured after blocking.
  • Yarn: Approximately 340 (750) yds/311 (686)m fingering-weight yarn total, split between two colors as follows. Color A: 210 (450) yds/192 (411)m. Color B: 130 (300) yds/119 (274) m. Brown/teal single loop version shown in Madelinetosh TML, colorways Twig (cA) & Mineral (cB). Pink/orange single loop version shown in Knitted Wit Fingering, colorways Creamsicle (cA) & Quilted (cB). Double loop version shown in Knitted Wit Single Fingering, colorways Silver Lining (cA) & Plump (cB).
  • Needles: US4/3.5mm circular needle for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 26 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.
