Crisp twisted ribbing plus squishy garter stitch equals a really pleasing little pair of fingerless mitts. Made in a long-color-changing gradient yarn, these are super-special.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: One size fits most: 3.5″/9 cm across hand (measured above base of thumb but below knuckles) unstretched; approximately 7″/18 cm from cast-on to bind-off edge.
  • Yarn: approximately 160 yards/146 m fingering-weight yarn. I used Crystal Palace Mini Mochi, colorway Tapestry Rainbow.
  • Needles: US2/3mm needle for small-cirucmference knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 30 stitches = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, after blocking.
