The She Said Hat and Cowl are a part of the He Said/She Said Collection, which is in turn a part of the Big Ass Skein Society. This pattern contains instructions for both a hat and a cowl, and She Said Mitts are also available. There is also a hat, cowl, and mitt set called He Said that are complementary. They are designed so you can get three pieces out of one big-ass skein of Blue Moon Fiber Arts Targhee Bulky.

Materials

  • : 20 [22]” circumference; 8 [8.25]” from cuff to top.   • Yarn: Hat: approximately 135 (150) yards bulky-weight yarn, plus about 30 yards for a pompom, if you’re so inclined. Cowl: approximately 200 yards bulky-weight yarn. I used Blue Moon Fiber Arts Targhee Bulky, colorway Fungus Among Us for both.
  • Needles: US9/5.5mm needle for small-circumference circular knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 16 stitches = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.
