Slip-Slip Slippers

In Aran weight yarn, Patterns, Slippers by Shannon

Materials

These slippers are a dream to make in Aran-weight yarn. Grab a skein of Friendship Bracelet, and you’ll be slip-slip-slipping your way to warmer feet in no time!

  • Finished Measurements: Small (medium, large): 6 (8, 10)”/15 (20, 25) cm circumference. Foot length depends on recipient’s foot size. See chart for approximate foot lengths. Pick the finished size closest to your actual foot circumference when measured at the base of the toes
  • Yarn: approximately 110 (125, 140) yards/100 (115, 129) m aran-weight yarn (exact yardage depends on foot length). I used Knitted Wit Targhee Aran in Friendship Bracelet.
  • Needles: US8/5mm needle for smallish- circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge. I recommend a 32″/60 cm or 40″/80 cm circular for magic loop.
  • Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers.
  • Gauge: 18 sts & 34 Rs = 4″/10 cm in garter stitch, worked flat, measured after blocking.
