This cowl is a dream to work – with an interesting stitch pattern, and DK or fingering-weight options, it’ll fly off of your needles and onto your neck.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 22” circumference, 10” tall, measured at the tallest point.
  • Yarn: DK-weight: approximately 230 yards. I used Knitted Wit Victory DK, colorway Pecan Sandies (brown). • Fingering-weight: 350 yards.
  • Needles: DK-weight: US6/4mm needle for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge. • Fingering-weight: US4/3.5mm needle for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: DK-weight: 18 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking. • Fingering-weight: 24 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.
