This shawl is chock-full of flotsam and jetsam, trinkets and gimcracks, gewgaws and doodads. And that’s just the way I like it; by adding a bit here, a baub there, you end up with a perfectly adorned and big-enough-to-snuggle-under shawl in no time.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 96”/244 cm wide, 24”/61 cm deep at center.
  • Yarn: approximately 515 yds/471 m total worsted-weight yarn, split between two colors as follows: 375 yds/343 m cA, 140 yds/128 m cB. I used Knitted Wit Worsted in Shan-nasty (cA) and Shandanowitz (cB) in the pink and green version, and Unicorn Night Mares (cA) and Aquamarine (cB) in the black and blue version.
  • Needles: US 9/5mm (or size to obtain gauge) for flat knitting.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 15 stitches and 23 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.
