East Portland is the sibling hat to West Gresham.
Both are DK, both are fun to knit, both have lots of texture and visual interest. Because texture is the best-ture no matter where you are!

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: Small (Medium, Large): 16 (18, 20)“ circumference (and very stretchy); 8 (8.5, 9)” from brim to top.
  • Yarn: approximately 165 (185, 200) yards DK-weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit DK in Storyteller. For the optional pompom: approximately 50 yards if you want the same size as mine.
  • Needles: US 5/3.5mm (or size to obtain gauge) for small-circumference knitting.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 22 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in twisted 1×1 rib.
