A simple and lovely one-skein-of-sock-yarn shawlette that can easily be made larger, the edges can also be blocked flat or in points.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 60” wide, 16” deep at center.
  • Yarn: approximately 375-400 yards fingering-weight yarn. I used Hazel Knits Artisan Sock, Lipstick 1984 (pink) and Malabrigo Sock, Rayon Vert (green-brown).
  • Needles: US4/3.5mm needle for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 24 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.
