OMG I am so excited about this one, y’all!

I love English Paper Piecing, and I love teaching English Paper Piecing and I love community surrounding English Paper Piecing. Being in the big EPP community we created at Craft Emporium was so inspiring and wonderful, and it’s something I have for sure missed. I have taught the class a few times since then, and every time, I have seen students feel that feeling, you know the one, the OMG WHERE HAS THIS CRAFT BEEN MY WHOLE LIFE feeling, and/but it hasn’t felt like there’s a place for all of us to really lean into it. UNTIL NOW!

With lots of love and encouragement from my EPP besties, I have been working on a monthly EPP Club, where we can explore different shapes and how they work together, to create other shapes! I’ve got the rest of 2026 all figured out (and am so excited to play with these shapes with y’all), I’ve found a place to meet (Taborspace on SE Belmont), and I’ve been working on the knitty-gritty details (most of which are in the listing, here!). The only thing missing now is you (hopefully!).

The EPP Club will be a monthly class/meetup, the 2nd Monday of every month from 6-8pm. We’ll be meeting at Taborspace, in the Artspace Room. The club costs $60/month (and if that’s a barrier to your finances, there are sliding scale and scholarship options available), and this is what that includes:

  • A small pack of papers for whichever shape(s) we are exploring that month;
  • Support and instruction on best practices, etc, from me;
  • Access to my bin of scraps for your pieces;
  • And maybe most importantly: SNACKS!

My goals are to build a community surrounding EPP, to share best practices and tips & tricks, and, honestly, to help sustain a living for myself doing crafty stuff. It’s hard out there for small businesses, as I’m sure you all know!

To that end, there will be sliding scale and scholarship opportunities, no questions asked.

I will have my little pop-up shop at all meetings, and I can take special orders for paper pieces from the Paper Pieces company if you have specific needs.

Let me know if you have any questions either by leaving a comment, or by emailing me at shannonsq@gmail.com. I’ll do my best to update this page with any info that comes up as I explore what this club is and how best to implement my ideas!
