It’s definitely getting to be that time of year again: PONCHO TIME! I still only have the one poncho pattern, Manteau, and it’s still a favorite: made in worsted-to-aran weight yarn, it’s constructed similarly to a top-down raglan, so the knitting is fairly straightforward. The collar is textured and fun, and being able to add buttons to a project is always a plus in my book.
It’s super warm and snuggly, and the perfect thing to throw on for a day at home on the couch or out at pumpkin patches or apple orchards.
And, because it’s in thick yarn on big needles, it really doesn’t take all THAT long to make one. In other words, there’s still time to make AND wear one before the weather gets warm again…
Speaking of making, what is it about this time of year that has me longing to cast on all of the everythings?
