Jazz Age Hat

A wee bit slouchy; a lot bit comfy. If you don’t mind garter in the round, this hat will fly off the needles and onto your head.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: Small (Medium/Large): Approximately 17 (19)” circumference, but stretches quite a bit. Go, go garter stitch! 8 (8.5)” tall, from cast on to top.
  • Yarn: approximately 175 yards worsted-weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit Worsted Superwash Merino, colorway Ghostly.
  • Needles: US8/5mm needle for small circumference circular knitting, or size to get gauge.
  • Notions: cable needle, stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 16 sts = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking. 20 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking.
