Knit it: Peregrine Shawl update

Another older pattern that I updated and we re-shot recently was the Peregrine Shawl.

Peregrine Shawl

It was originally designed for one skein of Blue Moon‘s DeVine, which was this awesome multiplied squishy chunky yarn that I loved. They no longer carry it, but I’m happy I had the chance to spend some time with it.

Thanks to a truly fabulous sample knitter, Linette, I was able to expand the sizing a bit on Peregrine and offer a more sophisticated finish. She made this sample in record time for me, and I am really in love.

Made with one skein of Blue Moon’s Targhee Bulky, in Cozy Fierce and Dirty Orange, I find myself grabbing this when the weather cools in the evenings. With the expanded sizing, it’s less a shawlette and more a shawl, and wraps cozily around the shoulders.

This would be another fabulous gift-knit for the holiday season. You’re really giving someone a soft and squishy hug when you make something like the Peregrine Shawl, and who doesn’t like soft and squishy hugs?
