Knit it: Zamora

Zamora is the fourth pattern in the Big Ass Skein Society, and I’m really in love with this one. Why? Let me count the ways…

1. the YARN. It’s a brand-spanking new yarn from Blue Moon Fiber Arts, Super WooBu Lite. It’s like WooBu, but superwash and fingering weight. So light, so soft, so airy, so fluffy. So good.

2. the COLOR. The smaller version is in a brand-new color that Tina dyed specifically for this project – A Speck of Autumn. It’s also a wee nod to the fact that the mistress of green (me) has been seduced by orange lately. I mean, can you blame me? Orange is pretty bad-ass.

3. the SHAPE. Because there are so many cascading rates of increase, Zamora sits on the shoulders very nicely. It’s like a big ole hug.

4. the SIZE. With 650 yards on the larger size (the red one), this is one big wrap. Perfect for cool nights and Fall days. The smaller one clocks in at 500 yards, which is no slouch, shawl-yardage-wise, either.

Zamora is available on its own for $6, but if you get the entire Big Ass Skein Society for $18, you also get coupon codes at Blue Moon Fiber Arts for all yarns used.
