Legwarmers Like Lea’s

One of my mom’s besties, Lea, is known for her fantastic leg warmers. I was both jealous and inspired by hers, so grabbed a skein of yarn that’s been calling my name and started knitting. And knitting. And knitting. These long, long leg warmers are the result.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: approximately 6” around at ankle, 10” around at thigh. 29” tall. Measured after blocking.
  • Yarn: approximately 425 yards sport-weight yarn. I used Zauberball Starke 6, colorway 2092 Attractive Side.
  • Needles: US5/3.75mm needles for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 26 sts = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, measured after blocking.
