Off-Kilter Shawlette

In Fingering weight yarn, Patterns, Shawls & Shawlettes, Shop sample available by Shannon

You won’t be feeling off-kilter after working this fun knit, in two or three colors. Mesh lace short-row sections and lots of squishy garter stitch make this a fun-to-knit AND wear piece.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 60” wide across wingspan; 15.5” deep at center
  • Yarn: approximately 620 yards fingering-weight yarn total, split between two colors as follows: cA: 310 yards. cB: 310 yards. If you make a three-color version, you’ll substitute cC for cB at the end. You’ll need approximately 100 yards of cC (and therefore 100 yards less of cB).
  • Needles: US3/3.25mm circular needle, 24” or 32”, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 24 sts = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, measured after blocking.
