#socksonvacay so far…

I’ve completed five pairs of socks so far for the Summertime Sock Knitting Extravaganza Lorajean from Knitted Wit and I have been hosting. It’s so much fun, and there’s no end in sight, particularly for my obsession with my Stumptown Sock pattern. It’s so funny, because when I published this pattern in 2015 I was madly in love with it, but then I kind of just didn’t think about it any more until this summer. I started a sock in Knitted Wit’s She Persisted colorway, and that was it. I was re-hooked, and they are my go-to pattern ever since. Kind of like earlier this year when I couldn’t stop making Otherwise Engaged socks. It’s those patterns that work well in the bright and variegated and sprinkley and speckley and crazy colors that scream at me to make socks that I find myself making over and over and over. I had the same torrid affair with Short Attention Span last summer, and will likely have another pattern that grabs ahold of me soon. Right now, I’ll enjoy this crush on Stumptown Socks, and see how many I’ve made when all is said and done…

One of the best things to come out of this affair is that I’ve updated the heck out of Stumptown Socks this summer, with more sizes and more heel options and more cuff options.

Any-hoo, here are the five pairs of socks I’ve made this summer (all are in Knitted Wit Victory Sock, which is just an amazeballs sock yarn)…

How many more will I make before Labor Day? How many have YOU made? Are you tagging them on Instagram with #socksonvacay?
