Materials

These socks will have you rolling into summer with their easy textured patterning that lends itself to variegated yarns and solids alike.

  • Finished Measurements: Youth medium/adult extra-small (youth large/adult small, adult medium, adult large, adult extra-large): 6.25 (6.75, 7.25, 7.75, 8.25)”/16 (17, 18.5, 19.5, 21) cm. To fit foot circumference: 7 (7.5, 8, 8.5, 9)”/18 (19, 20.5, 21.5, 23) cm. Sample socks shown with a 4″/10 cm leg length (measured from top of heel, customizable).
  • Yarn: approximately 200-400 yds/183-366 m fingering- weight yarn. I used Knitted Wit Sock in John Day.
  • Needles: US1/2.25 mm needle for small-circumference knitting, or size needed to get gauge.
  • Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers.
  • Gauge: 32 sts & 44 rnds = 4″/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, measured after blocking.
