Pure, unadulterated, neon-tinted pleasure. That’s what this shawl gave me, soup to nuts. From deciding to put these two colors together to the rhythm of the Tweedy Sections to the leafy lace sections to the brick-y border, I smiled my way through this piece, and once it was done, found myself sighing and saying, “That’s the ticket…”

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 70″/178 cm; length: 56″/142 cm; width at bind-off edge: 38″/96 cm, measured after blocking.
  • Yarn: approximately 400 yards/366 m dk-weight yarn. I used Republic of Wool DK in Utopia (cA, 235 yds/215 m) and Stitch Together Studios Stitch Dreamy DK in Smelly Jellies (cB, 165 yds/151m).
  • Needles: US7/4.5mm (or size to obtain gauge) circular needle, 24″/60 cm or longer.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 16 sts & 28 Rs = 4″/10 cm in stockinette stitch, measured after blocking. 16 sts & 28 Rs = 4″/10 cm in Tweedy Section pattern stitch, measured after blocking.
