As hard as it is to believe, 2014 is almost over. Like, scarily close to being done. I’m already thinking about how 2015 will be different, and…well, mostly different. And I’m starting the New Year off in the most delightful way, with one of my favorite people in the universe, Lorajean of Knitted Wit. She’s hosting a New Year Shindig, and I’ll have a Trunk Show set up. Yeehaw!
Knitted Wit’s studio is located at 7434 NE Sandy Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97213. It’s an amazing space, full of color and light. And, on Thursday, it’ll be full of me and LJ! Heehee.
I’ve done a fair bit of designing with LJ’s gorgeous yarns, and the project I’m most in love with right now is a collection that I’m hoping will be all ready for sale at the Trunk Show. It’s the Stumptown Collection, and consists of a shawl in two weights (Victory DK and Victory Fingering), a pair of socks in Victory Sock and a cowl in two weights (again, Victory DK and Victory Fingering). I’ll post more in-depth once we’ve done the photoshoot and all that jazz, but I’ve gotta say, this new yarn family LJ has is amazing. Bouncy, soft, squishy, oh my! It’s something special.
I hope you’ll come by on Thursday, January 1st from 11-2 to say hi, fondle yarns, and check out my work. LJ created a Facebook event, if that’s your thing.
Here’s a sneak peak at the sock. Love me some picots!
