West Gresham is the sibling hat to East Portland.
Both are DK, both are fun to knit, both have lots of texture and visual interest. Because texture is the best-ture no matter where you are!

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: Small (Medium, Large): 16 (18, 20)“/40.5 (45.5, 51) cm circumference; 8 (8.5, 9)”/20.5 (21.5, 23) cm from brim to top..
  • Yarn: approximately 165 (185, 200) yds/151 (170, 183) m total DK-weight yarn, split between two colors as follows: 135 (150, 160) yds/123 (137, 146) m cA, 30 (35, 40) yds/27.5 (32, 36.5) m cB. I used Knitted Wit Victory DK in Unicorn Giggles (cA) and Aquamarine (cB). For the optional pompom: approximately 50 yards if you want the same size as mine.
  • Needles: US 5/3.5mm (or size to obtain gauge) for small-circumference knitting.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 22 stitches and 36 rows = 4 inches in twisted 1×1 rib.
