You’ll be In Season no matter the temperature with this fabulous cowlette. It’ll keep you warm when it gets a bit cool out, and the patterning and excuses for colorplay are so enticing!

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: Circumference at neck: 34″/86.5 cm; depth at center front: 17″/43 cm; depth at center back: 7″/18 cm, measured after blocking.
  • Yarn: approximately 645 yds/590 m total fingering-weight yarn. For the LoraJean version, I used Knitted Wit Fingering in Black Rock Candy (mc, 375 yds/343 m) & 6 Knitted Wit Gumballs (270 yds/247 m total; 45 yds/41 m each) in Liberally Bleeding Heart (ccA), Sweet Potato (ccB), Pollen (ccC), Oscar the Grouch (ccD), Not the Tealest (ccE), & Clematis (ccF). For the Shannon version, I used Knitted Wit Fingering in Bespeckled Silver (mc, 375 yds/343 m) & 6 Knitted Wit Gumballs (270 yds/247 m total; 45 yds/41 m each) in Haute Pink (ccA), Glazed Over Carrots (ccB), Moonglow (ccC), Cat Eyes (ccD), Aquamarine (ccE), & Foxglove (ccF).
  • Needles: US5/3.75mm (or size to obtain gauge) circular needle, 24”/60 cm or longer
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 22 stitches and 44 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch
