My mailing list and pattern sales are provided by third-party services. As a rule, the third-party providers used on this website will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to provide their relevant services. Each has their own privacy policy and you can find this information linked below:
Newsletter email list
This is provided by MailChimp, and you can read their privacy policy here.
I do not receive any details from MailChimp when users subscribe or unsubscribe. However, as MailChimp stores the data that you provide when you subscribe (i.e your email address), I have access to it.
Pattern & eBook sales – Ravelry shopping cart
This is provided by Ravelry and you can read their privacy policy here.
As a seller on Ravelry, I receive a copy of each automatically-generated download email that gets sent out after purchase. Ravelry stores your email address, which may be linked to your Ravelry account if you are a member, and I have access to this sales information.
Payments and transactions
All payments are processed through PayPal and you can read their privacy policy here.
Currently, with the new PayPal arrangement with Ravelry, I do not receive any notifications of payment emails.
Comments and blog posts
My website is a WordPress site, and it’s hosted on Bluehost. When comments are left, commenters can choose to leave their email address, website, and other identifying information. I don’t store any of that, nor do I use it to contact posters.
Contact form and direct email
When you get in touch with me you are required to provide your name and email address so that I can reply to you. Generally I do store these emails within my own email provider so that I have a record of our discussion should you get in touch again about an issue, or should there be a need for me to act or make amendments to any information within a pattern, book, or on this website. These emails are never shared and your details remain private.
Cookies
Ravelry (the shopping cart), MailChimp (the mailing list provider), PayPal (the payment processor) and WordPress/Bluehost (website host) all use cookies for their needs – they remember whether you’ve left a comment before or or have an item in your shopping cart. These can be deleted as per your request via your browser.
Other Outlets
My patterns are also available from Loveknitting, Craftsy, Patternfish, and LoveKnitting. Click each link to view their privacy policies. I receive no payment or order details at all from any of these companies, only monthly or quarterly statements of earnings.
