Trisectrix

In geometry, a trisectrix is a curve which can be used to trisect an arbitrary angle. This shawl plays with the idea of a trisected curve by using short rows and groups of three to create a very knittable and wearable piece.

Materials

  • Finished Measurements: 50″ wingspan, 15″ deep at center. .
  • Yarn: approximately 400 yards sport-DK weight yarn. I used Blue Moon Fiber Arts Gaea Sport, colorway Mica.
  • Needles: US7/4.5mm circular needle, 24” or longer, or size to get gauge.
  • Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle.
  • Gauge: 20 sts = 4″/10 cm in stockinette stitch in the round, measured after blocking.
